MRI Technologist PRN

The MRI Technologist  and requires flexibility, a willingness to help in all areas, the ability to multitask, strong clinical experience and sound judgement.  


The MRI Technologist must be committed to excellence in patient care and customer service.  The successful candidate will strive to serve all patients and family members with compassion and respect and be proud to deliver the highest quality of diagnostic services.  Ability to employ tact, diplomacy and compassion with all types of people is essential.


  • Apply ionizing radiation and magnetic resonance for the purpose of detecting pathology
  • Perrform MRI and MRA, as directed by a clinic provider, on our 1.5T GE Signa MRI 
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain A.L.A.R.A. standards with all procedures
  • Maintain the safety and integrity of the MRI suites
  • Establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationships with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff
  • Assist other modalities and front desk as needed

  • Knowledge of MRI quality control procedures and the ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment or exams
  • ARRT RT (R)(MR) with current license
  • Expert phlebotomist for IV contrast injections
  • Experience in a physician’s office, clinic or other health care setting is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnosis/procedure coding desired
  • Capable of operating or learning to operate automated systems and other office equipment
  • Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Graduate of medical assisting program a plus, certification not required
  • Bilingual preferred
