THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently searching for a competitive, self-motivated, enthusiastic team member to work as a Front Desk Receptionist at our Ocala Medical Health Center.  

THE WORK

Successful candidate will conduct all front office functions, including telephone traige, greet patients, schedule appointments and balance daily collections.  Must have excellent telephonic skills, outgoing personality and great communication skills.  Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to the MHC Clinic Administrator and works closely with the Center's clinical staff.
  • Greets patients in a courteous and polite manner, and conducts all front office functions as requested.
  • Answers telephone inquiries and triage calls.  Must be able to display excellent telephone and switchboard etiquette.
  • Maintain patient medical records in accordance with the Center's policy.
  • Responsible for accurately and professionally handling all front desk operations, including answer phones, greet patients, schedule appointments, balance daily collections, address routine inquiries and triage calls.
  • Assist with inventory and maintain office supplies.
  • Assist with referrals and authorizations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with MA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of medical office or urgent care experience preferred.
  • Possess a current CPR certification, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, and in a professional and courteous manner with patients and all levels of personnel.
